How do we work?

Ministry and Discipleship
Who is a GO! Ambassador?

Our GO! Ambassadors serve orphaned children because they have a higher purpose. Our ambassadors are light in their communities by demonstrating the unconditional love of Jesus Christ by walking out their faith in obedience to serve orphaned children.

At the Great Commandment Academy, we support orphan GO! Ambassadors to gain a ministry orientation of serving orphan ambassadors in their communities.

Training Orphans Ambassadors

To make a lasting impact, we actively engage and include the communities we are seeking to assist, in the process of deploying the local Church. We are continually learning, growing, and adjusting our approach as to how we can be an authentic ministry partner.

Partnering with Local Communities

A GO! ambassador is an individual who has received the ‘call’ to serve orphan children in their community. Their exposure to Global Orphan Relief’s Church Mobilization effort occurs through our Great Commandment Workshops, Summit Leadership Conferences, Great Commandment Academy, or through some other exposure to this ministry. GO! Ambassadors are people just like you!

Our Executive Team

Scott Nordstrom - President, Global Orphan Relief (GO!)

Scott & Despina Nordstrom - In 2005, God gave Scott Nordstrom, the President of Global Orphans Relief, the vision of ministering to orphaned children. Global Orphan Relief serves in Africa & Asia through three care initiatives, namely, Home-Based Care, Education, and Nutrition. Our fourth initiative, Church Mobilization, is a rallying call to the Church to be intentionally minded and devoted to serving orphans and vulnerable children.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world..”
